The days of roses and big boxes of chocolate are long gone. I sniff my fill of flowers at the grocery store. At Walmart yesterday I tried to get through the crowds of people in the card aisle. I stuck my hand between bodies and hoped for the best. In the background I heard, "Can I have dis? and dis? Can we get dis? or dis or dat? Mommy! Look at dis!" I noticed the section I was looking in said Wife. Patrick received the card this morning and grew thoughtful. He wondered about this part...
Sometimes you surprise me
by asking if I still love you,
still find you beautiful...
And I wonder
how could you
not know?
If you are out and about today searching for that perfect card here's a tip for ya. The section that says Wife is TO your wife not FROM.

Too funny!
I'm sure you think he's still beautiful!
Thanks, I needed that. Rough morning over here.

You should get snaps for buying the card with children in tow.
I was at WalMart during choir practice buying Jer a card too! It was hard when you have 2 other mom's from church there reading cards also! It's not like you can pick out a sexy one-knowing that the other mom had just read it and quickly put it back.....and she will see you grab it......
Carla, trying to pick out cards while shopping with children is a form of torture for me. I can completely relate.
I agree with Kris. And flowers don't have to be done! My sweet DH just bought me a dozen at Aldi for six dollars. (they're 3.00 for 6....) I still feel loved....price doesn't matter. I'm proud of his thriftiness!
One more thing..I think you should randomly hum, "You are so beautiful...to me" to him. I crack myself up.
