He's Loud

I did not do the customary 6am post today. I knew the Aldi Shuffle was on my list of things to do. Something would happen. It always does. Wait for it. Timmers did not disappoint. I tried to put him in the cart seat and almost received a Thomas the Train shoe to the jaw. Smackdown. He sat but did not stop screaming. He can scream. We happened past an elderly woman who covered both of her ears and gave this Momma a dirty look. I have never had that reaction before. I apologized for Timmers and shrugged my shoulders. Am I that used to screaming? Um...sorry...again. She had no grace for me today. No matter. After the screamfest and the shuffle we checked grocery shopping off of our list.

Sorry, Carla. It's so much nicer when people give an understanding look or sympathetic smile. Grocery shopping with little ones is always tough.

When Eli would scream in the store I would let him make the choice between stopping the screaming and going to the car for a spank. He almost always chose the former. Tim is smart, let him make the choice.

But Carla.....these years go by so quickly. Ha!!! Just kidding! Sooo kidding. Anna does the screaming thing too. I sigh a lot in public nowadays.

We did the Aldi shuffle today, too. (And the County Market canter after that.) Grocery shopping day is stressful enough before adding a screaming toddler to the mix, eh?!
And the frustration mounts even more when Aldi can't keep their isles stocked--out of grapes, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and colored peppers. What's a mom to do?

A mom is to stock up on Pop Tarts, GoGurt, Swiss Cake Rolls, and Cheese Puffs. Don't forget the canes-they are on clearance.

(good one, katie r.)
Anyway, a couple weeks back, my "helper" puked because of the smell in the deli. At least he made it to the bathroom with it, so no-one really knew.
The screaming (or whining) is worse on me if I'm already stressed. On occasion, I can actually take it in stride.

I was standing in line waiting for the checkout when an older lady yelled at a frustrated Mom with a crying child. (Not me, my kids were at home.) I felt so badly for the mom. Why can't we all just be nice? (sigh)
