Teach

Sometimes I really miss teaching. I miss those middle schoolers. So funny and awkward and sweet. The bell would ring and I would get new ones. I could ring every bell in this house and the two students I have would still be here. I sometimes wonder if I will ever find myself in a classroom again. Teaching. Joshua and I were talking about how my students used to call me "mom" or say "I love you." He has done that himself. Joshua said, "Hey, mom I bet you will be back in school one day. You would make a great janitor. You are always cleaning up around here."

I think the only bright side is that he noticed you're the one doing all the cleaning up.

I took my daughter to the hospital where I used to work to visit everyone yesterday and was thinking the same things (just not about teaching - lol).

Hi Jenny,
There are some things I miss about teaching and some things I don't. :)Everything "out there" seems so glamorous right about now.
Except IEP's and conferences and meetings and algebra.......

Carla, I was a fourth grade teacher before parenting. I can't imagine being back in the classroom - the stress, the paper work, disciplining all day and coming home to more discipline... I think I'll sell bras at Macy's!

David told his dad the other day..."I think Mom's whole life is cleaning." His wise father responded, "Yeah, buddy...after you!"

Janitor huh? That's encouraging. That was why you went through all those college classes.
I wonder if that is to be my calling in life...

Alright! Jenny's makin' the rounds! : )
Coffee--that David is something else!
Carla, I bet you have to be on time for work if you are a teacher. I don't think I could hack it.
Now, as a janitor...do you think anyone would notice if you were 15 minutes late here or there?
