Joshua and Sarah have a big race coming up. The Awana Grand Prix. They are both pretty excited. Joshua took 1st place one year, and 2nd place another year. He told me this year he is going for 3rd so he can have all the trophies in his collection. He pronounces the race Grand Prix. Not Pree, people. Prix. He sounded it out and pronounced it Prix. I am done correcting him. It is now up to his peers at the Awana Grand Pree.

Phonetics are a b*tch.
Should I not have said that?
Sorry.
I can delete it if you want.
Erin, it's "fonetiks"
I always used to say Prix instead of Pree. He'll learn.
No...this calls for a Dad-son talk.
I'm 33 and I still remember the AWANA Grand Prix! Haven't thought about AWANA in years and now I have the SPARKS song stuck in my head.
You're welcome, Sarah.
Go! Joshua Go!
I just wish they'd give a prize to the kid who sends down the untouched block of wood with wheels. We'd win every time. Or better yet, the one that has the best decoration but never got put together...how about that??
Josh cracks me up. I've said it before but, I love that kid. He's so cool. He's his own person.
Indeed.
