WMD

I am in a season. Not my favorite phrase but it will have to do. I am in the TODDLER ZONE. An almost 2 year old and an almost 4 year old have been wreaking havoc. They are my weapons of mass destruction. I spend all day everyday picking up the remnants of their chaos. Once I have one space picked up and cleaned up, I move onto the space that has just been destroyed to pick it up and clean it only to find the Masters of Mayhem have blasted the place I just cleaned! Just this morning in the course of 20 minutes Timothy smashed muffins into the carpet, ripped the cover off of the phone book, made a pencil sketch on the side of the phone stand and the nearest wall, threw play dough all over the dining room floor, shredded his Daddy's paycheck stub, poured water on the carpet and had his usual mid morning snack of cat food. Oh, and I dug a penny and a paper clip out of his mouth. Good thing that boy has dimples. Nathan leads the charge and encourages all of it. Good thing that boy knows how to hug.
I know I am going to make it. I know that I will not just survive. I will endure. I will endure this season. I have a 7 year old and a 10 year old to prove it.

I'm so glad I know this too shall pass. The little girl at this house is a bit of a tornado.
