Forced Fun

I was Wicked Mom today and made the cherubs play outside. I raked up leaves while listening to the moaning and groaning. The littles had a blast while the bigs stood there and asked if they could go in yet and watch TV. Um No. Have fun immediately, I mean it. I then had a brainstorm to carve a pumpkin or two. The bigs admired the sharp knives. That's about it. They wouldn't touch the guts or eat the freshly salted and baked seeds. They simply wandered away. I am dying over here! Trying to make things fun and interesting is just resulting in rolled eyes and bored sighs. The school website did inform me today the damage will keep us out until at least Thursday! Oh, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. Playdates!
