So So Clips
Went to not Great or even Good but So So Clips last night for a haircut. I looked through their Hairy Books and found a cute style that I wanted in a longish version. I thought longish, I said longish. My stylist and I decided cutting off one inch would be just about right. Yes, please shampoo my hair and put me to sleep while your fingers massage my scalp! Oooooooooh! Some chit chat and total whack job later I paid and left. 1 inch? No, try 4. I am not angry or upset. I kinda even like my hair and I realize once again that I get what I pay for.

Is that less expensive than going to see 'Deiter' in Hudson? I'm fairly ignorant about these things, but she does a great job with Cheryl's hair and she's a really nice Christian lady.

ah haircuts...I'm on the never-ending search for a good stylist that doesn't charge me my whole week's grocery budget. (I'm not exaggerating by much.) Honestly, though, when I've splurged and gone to a more upscale salon like A La Mode, I haven't thought they've done any better. And at one place, as I settled into the chair all thankful that I wasn't at Cost Cutters or Fantastic Sams for once and willing to pay the extra moola, the girl proceeds to tell me that she JUST STARTED working at this salon after quitting Fantastic Sams! Great--so essentially I got a Fantastic Sam's quality haircut, but at a higher price. I give up!
Disclaimer: I know some people have gotten great haircuts at the discount places...I'm just not one of them.

I remember once going to Casa de Pelo. The stylist chatted with a married man through the whole cut. I left looking like a French poodle.

Haircuts...one advantage to being a guy. I spent $15 on an electric trimmer once and I've given myself haircuts ever since. I've had some funny ones, but I'd rather pay nothing for a funny haircut than pay someone else for one! :)
