C

I had had enough of the screaming banshees I call my children. Enough. We went for a walk around the block and I wondered as I wandered. How much does it cost to change one letter of your last name? From Stream to Scream. I don't need to buy a vowel, just the consonant letter c. Simple Simon. I also wondered why the Screamer's volumes are all turned to high. We walked past several homes and I heard it. I did. I heard screaming coming from my neighbor's homes! Make a request of a child and you just might get a scream in response. I don't care who you are. There was a definite skip in my step on the way home.

It's a war cry only the three foot and under crowd can produce.

At our house, it is always the loudest at 11:30 and 4:30. It has something to do with empty stomachs....let's put our heads together, people.

I think my kids have surpassed screams and moved onto shrieks. But I know I always feel better when I hear my neighbors' kids having tantrums too.

Yeah, I experience kind of a morbid combination of sympathy and satisfaction when I see other people's kids throwing a fit--like in the grocery store. I've been there and it's good to know one is not alone.

hehe. I'm so glad to hear that someone else in the world feels better hearing other people's children upset. lol I've been harboring guilt over being a relaly bad person because of this. In my house however, screaming only comes paired with nap and bed times. Doesn't matter what I do or don't do, she just does not want to go to sleep and will scream at me. *sigh* Recently I've started playing a game with my husband: what would you give for a peaceful nap time? a toe? maybe. my car? certainly!
