Retire Me

Pat and I went to the MN State Fair. It was our 17th year! Git R Done! We had a blast just the two of us. At this point we are refusing to bring 4 children to the fair. Who can afford that? We did end up promising them all kinds of free, good stuff.(crapola) We sauntered by many booths searching for bookmarks, pencils, coloring books, and posters.(crapola)We passed a booth with a banner that read AARP. Pat told me in 8 years I should be receiving mail from them. Really? For why? My poise, grace, and manners or could it be my singing, dancing and weighlifting skills? I guess it stands for Somethin Somethin Retired Persons. No matter-the label will always be LRP to me. Lucky Retired Persons. I am hoping against hope that in 8 years I do get their literature. Sign me up! Let's see-I better do the math. I will have children the ages of 18, 15, 11 and 9. I miss them already, but I promise to call from The Bahamas.

So I want to know how the kiddos liked the crapola.

Yeah...this was one of those untimely, although accurate, thoughts I didn't keep to myself. I am sorry babe! I'll be getting AARP literature in 12 years but you'll be getting it in only 8.

I'm only 25 and I'm looking forward to retirement. I've had my 401k going for three years.

We're not going to make it to the Fair this year. I was crying to the news last night that I "Only want THREE Sweet Martha's cookies!!!" I'll be craving them now for another year! :(
