My Lines

There is usually some type of imaginary play going on around here. Let's betend! Sarah and Nathan like to play zoo, farm, school, circus, damsel in distress, or found a baby in the woods. Someone is usually crawling around barking, mooing or meowing. I am sometimes thrown into the mix and must get into character and memorize my lines. Woe is me if I forget my lines! My part yesterday wasn't too hard. The play was Coach. Sarah had Nathan running laps, doing sprints, jumping jacks and dribbling a basketball. She kept that boy on his toes! She brought a chair over to me and said, "Here, sit down and pretend you're the mom."

Way to work up a sweat there mom! I'll play coach if I can play the part of a mom.

I thought you meant a different kind of Coach. The expensive leather kind.
I got pretty excited for a minute there...

Pretend you're an expensive purse.

Hey, purses just sit too. I could definitely enjoy being a purse as well.

You thought she said "coach" when she really said "couch".

My brothers favorite game was to "Sleeping Beauty" all he had to do was "pretend" to sleep until he got the kiss from the prince and then wake up. He had a hard time with the second part. Maybe you could work on that game!

It's good to be the 'on-call monster'.
