Back to the Future

I love Fat Albert. I watched him all the time as a child and proudly carried my Fat Albert lunchbox to school. We ordered the show's episodes through Blockbuster and my children are loving it! A young Bill Cosby, a diverse and hilarious bunch of friends and moral issues even! So far, we have watched episodes on smoking, handguns, lying, cheating and stealing. All big no-no's of course. Yesterday, Bill was talking about the future. He was trying to imagine what the year 2000 would be like. I checked the date of this episode. 1972!! Joshua said, "The year 2000 is not even the future, Mom! That was 7 years ago!" Smart as a whip, that boy.

What a great thing for your kids.

I...on the other hand...ordered "The Muppet Show" on DVD for my kids. That's one I shoulda watched before they did. I remembered how funny it was...not how close to the naughty edge it could be.

(I have to admit, some of it was still dang funny!)

We got the Yogi Bear show from the R.F. Library. While Isaiah loves it I'm thinking oops! lots of hitting and physically painful humor. I liked watching the cartoon, as did Matthew, when we were little. We turned out okay so I think Isaiah will survive the one week rental. I think I'll be looking for Hey! Hey! Hey! It's Faaaat Albert instead.

Erin,
Did get the signoff from Richard that it was ok for you to post that comment about him?
