Stop and Drop

I know I have posted on this before. Bear with me. At 4:30pm today, I had a mom stop by with her daughter, who is a new friend of Sarah's. I was told that this new friend needed to be home by 7:30pm as that was her bedtime. I told my new mom acquaintance that I would send her daughter along when we ate supper.
Is this a new trend? Am I missing out on something? Soon and very soon I shall be dropping 4 Streamers off at some neighbors and politely saying that they need to be home at 8pm. Oh, and they will all need baths too.

I just don't get that. Can you imagine what would've happened if we did that growing up? I mean, it's one thing if the families are really close and "swap" like that all the time, but c'mon.

Not to mention she doesn't know you from Adam. Are people so stressed out with their own children that they'll just drop them any-old-where? I guess. At least she didn't drop and run to the casino...

How rude. I can't believe how well you handle it. I don't think I could hold my tongue.

I think I am just so flabbergasted I manage to say that I'll be sending them back in an hour. I am still shaking my head over this one.
