I was once a first time parent. I try to remember this when I see other first time parents. Boy, what a scene at the Walmart Portrait Studio on Friday night. My appt. was at 6. The first timers were there along with Grandma trying to get Aspen Lily to smile. After 35 minutes they got one! Only 5 more smiles to go! I thought I was going to lose my mind, or Timmers was. After 3 episodes of urping and 2 outfit changes the deed was done.(Ever seen a 3 month old in leopard skin? Ever charged $200 for portraits of your 3 month old in leopard skin?)Their appt. was at 5:30pm and I did not even get to plop Timmers down until 7:15pm! Since it was his bedtime, I knew he would only last for about 5 photos...and...we're...good!
I consoled myself with the following thoughts:
I received 26 photos for $7.55.(10x13, 8x10's, 5x7's, etc. etc.)
I will not be taking Timothy in for another year.
It's Walmart.

Isaiah did receive the GRAND treatment, when it came to photos. Yes, even Grammy came along, how else would I handle his 3mo. pictures at Target. I certainly couldn't have done it by myself, good grief!(no animal print was involved, though) Then there's Anna, poor deprived girl, her 3mo. pictures were actually 3.5mo. pictures and her 6mo. photos were closer to 7mo. Good thing we're done with the kiddos or the next 3mo. photo session could end up being 1yr.
I had Hannah in line one time and she fell asleep. Really got tired of standing there waiting, and letting people go ahead of me so I (bad mommy) jiggled her a little to wake her. An hour was enough nap, and she was a rested, perfect "client".
