I cannot for the life of me keep my son and his winter gear together. A nine year old and his gloves are soon parted! After purchasing at least 4 pairs of gloves and 3 hats this school year I decided to stop begging, whining, and yelling. If he does not come home with the pair he left with today, he will be wearing a pink flowered hat and pink gloves to school tomorrow. I mean it.

Have you run this plan by the captain yet? I know it is hard but there are principles that must be adhered to. A very important one is: no pink in public. I haven't yet made a statement about the pink that our boys wear inside our house...but I can not allow pink in public.

Hannah was a big mitten and hat loser--not to be confused with a loser loser. I told her if she lost one more pair of mittens, I was going to make her have the ones on a string. She was in 5th grade at the time--never lost another pair.
Now she says she would like to have her mittens on a string!
