The presents are all ripped open and being played with as I type. I did get all of the things I asked for from my husband and cherubs.(socks, spoon rest, necklace)I was pleasantly surprised by a gift from Nathan. He apparently found an old Queensryche tape(Christmas Hits)lurking in Daddy's stuff. He insisted it be wrapped and given to moi. I can still hear him say,"You wike it Momma? You wike the tape? You wike it?"

Merry Christmas Carla! Holiday time sucks my personal time away (boy, did that look funny before I type the "my"...). We have 4 birthdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My husand's entire family was home for Thanksgiving. We had the big dinner in the church basement but everyone came here for 2 suppers. More intimate at a home they said. Sure, real intimate feeding and cleaning up after 54 people!
Joey and Jamie will be here this weekend and we're having a wedding shower for her Saturday. At church last night my 20 year old son announced it as a "baby shower for Jamie". Not yet....
Anyway, I took a breather this morning (can't afford it but just charge it to me anyway) and caught up with the trenches. I'm in there with all of you--rewrapping gifts, cleaning poop, trying to hurry a little girl in the restroom, taking 5 days to clean the house before the weekend destroys it again. I changed diapers for 21 years (14 years of cloth) and had a year off before Gabe was born last spring. I LOVED the year off. But, I love Gabe more.
Thanks for keeping the humor flowing. Hope you get snow soon so your little-uns can go and not be careful outside. My eleven year old recently had to get stitches in his chin after a fall ice skating. It was the second time, same spot on the chin. He was invited to skate the other day and I heard him on the phone, "No thanks, I don't feel like going to the emergency room today."
