Farm Life

I love reading to my chilluns. Always have, always will. Our bookshelves overflow. There is one particular book I am having a hard time with lately. Oh, I hate it to be honest. It's a turn the wheel book called On The Farm. Nathan has picked it as his fave for a couple of days now. Every page has a wheel and the 3 year old in my life insists on turning them himself. He is not the most nimble-fingered fellow and this piece of literature has taken TOO LONG to get through. My patience wears thin when it's nappy time. Read then Nap. Chop. Chop. To ensure a break for mommy from this wretched book, I slipped it behind the couch.

It could come home with me next time we visit - just wait until Nafers is playing with Jacob, and bye-bye, book!

Although I do have to give you snaps for the couch idea - brilliant!

I remember several of my children's favorite books having a bit of a "time out" like that. Then, after they were older, they'd appear as if by magic! Oh, we mommies have our ways...do we not?

Heh heh heh

A few tricks up my sleeve will help me keep my sanity...I pray I am not a babbling idiot when the last birdie is pushed out of the nest. I mean...tries his wings.
