A Letter

My dear son Joshua,
I love you. You have so many qualities that have endeared you to me. One of which is your insatiable curiosity. It never ceases to amaze me that your brain wonders, "What would happen if?" while your hands do it. I have to grit my teeth because sometimes I think you are being naughty when you are just being you. I am so thankful that you weren't hurt today. When you sprayed 2 hot lightbulbs with cold water from your squirt gun and bits of shattered glass flew everywhere, you hightailed it to safety. Lesson learned then? Only time will tell.
You are my best Josh.
Love,
Mommy

Dear Karli,
You are a wonderful mom. When you could have freaked out at broken glass and yet decided to write your son a love letter, you showed him the love that God has for us. I am so proud of you.

He actually shot out the tiny decorative light bulbs in the ceiling lamp of the stairway. I was amazed at his accuracy but it was I who freaked out...this is a confession then I guess. I did repent and seek forgiveness. I am still impressed with his aim.

Wow. That's a good story. What do you suppose made him think, "Hunh. I wonder what would happen if I shoot out those light bulbs?" I can honestly say I have never thought that.
