Losing

I wonder sometimes-ok all the time-why the simplest things can be so hard. I was holding Dim and needed to clean up a spill. I grabbed for a paper towel and tried to tear it off. Sounds simple. The little post is missing from our paper towel holder(is that why it was on clearance at Target?!) so when this Momma has a baby on her hip I get no resistance. There is nothing to tear the towel on! I ended up grabbing foot after foot of the stuff and as it sailed into the air I heard a ripping sound. I received half a square for my effort. The paper towels were strewn all over the kitchen floor and I left them there to think about their behavior. We had to pick up Joshua. Before he sauntered into the house, I warned him, "Josh, Mommy got into a fight with the paper towels and I lost. Brace yourself."

Better call CSI and then the paper towel homicide clean-up team.
Did you make a chalk outline?

I used up all my chalk when I outlined the ants at the beginning of summer.

That stuff always seems to happen to me during the three-lettered-week. I've caught myself muttering, "Simple. These things should be so simple." It doesn't help the process, but it does make me feel a little better.
