Tough day at the ol' homestead! I think it is completely unfunny at this time, so it will not be the subject of this post.
The VBS season is upon us. Vacation Bible School is right around the corner. One of the first years, I attended the end of VBS lunch. I hardly knew a soul and sat at a packed table. As I fed Sarah in her stroller(she was 2)I was tapped by the woman seated across from me. She stated with furrowed brow and wrinkled nose that my son had reached into the lemonade pitcher with his hand, grabbed an icecube, sucked on it and then spit it back into the lemonade. I made my way to the kitchen where I began pouring a FULL pitcher of the lemony goodness down the drain. I almost made it until someone asked why was I doing that?!? I then explained in detail what my 5 year old son had done. I wanted to disappear but made it back to the table where the whole table of strangers was waiting....they looked kinda parched. I tried to make small talk with the woman across from me after stumbling through my apology, but my heart wasn't in it.
I am looking forward to VBS! A little bit nervous about what my Streamers will do, but I'm thinking it will be a good time!

Wouldn't it have been funny if you would have tripped and spilled the lemonade in the lap of the lady?
Just another deep thought.
Now you'll be in the kitchen--we can ALL stick our hands in the lemonade!!!!!
MUUUHHUHHHHAAHAAAHAAHA
"Did you need a spoon Audrey?" (or whatever the girls name was in Vacation) You obviously don't mind though being that you were feeding Sarah in her stroller and you have a five year old son......what?
I want to know why you dumped out the "tainted" lemonade. Do they REALLY think that VBS is germ free? I don't. A little cootie-infested lemonade should have been the LEAST of that lady's problems. Wait...was it Kristi? Sorry.
And I don't get what reegz said. Can anyone explain?
I know Erin. I was still new to the whole VBS thing and with Joshua being an impulsive 5 year old I stayed pretty embarrassed, well mortified by his behavior. Now, if it were a bunch of friends sitting around...pour me some lemonade!!! :) I think Reegz thought I was typing in present tense. It was many moons ago now.
