Hot Enough For Ya?
I love that question when it is so stinky hot. I know people want a conversation starter but come on!! The cherubs and I tried to fry an egg on the street today. This being another day of 90+ degrees, I thought a little science project would bring us the most joy. Flop City, I tell ya. The egg just sat there on the tar. Nathan, still shell-shocked from the 4th of July, stood with his ears covered. Joshua and Sarah sang the chorus to "I Wanna Go In Now." The only thing we did fry outside was the bottoms of our feet.

Between your blogs and Kristi's comments, I tell ya. You are both so funny. The thing is you are just relaying the days events. It is not as humorous when those antics take place at my house.
HELLO KATIE!!!! I miss you and I'm glad you are still out there, doing the Mom thing with me!! :)
I've never tried to fry an egg on the sidewalk. You've talked me out of wanting to try it. However, if it gets down to a bazillion below zero this winter you'll have to try the "throw a glass of water in the air to make snow/ice" experiment. It really DOES work and is over in about 2 seconds.
And how about blowing bubbles at below zero? Now THAT'S some fun, and if it is really still you can hear them "tink" when they hit the sidewalk.
Katie, nice to meet you--or have I?
