When Nathan wakes up he alerts his parents. I have been trying to get him to say, "Mommy, I'm up. Come get me." It doesn't seem to be going very well. I hear a loud thunk and I know he's up. I guess it is more amusing to whip a Sippy Cup at his door than to utter some phrase for the benefit of his parents.

According to my mom, my wake up call was, "Maaamma...I want num-nums! Maaamma...All done nigh-night!"
Just thought I'd give you an idea for an alternative. But good luck with the educating. Sippy Cup thuds don't make for the best wake up calls.
I love it. Levi does something just as delightful- jumps off his bed (CRASH!) he stomp/runs into the bathroom then back and forth to his room, opens and closes the door about 25 times while I pretend he's going to go back to bed. As I drift off for a split second I hear "MOM!" in a really loud whisper 1/2 centimeter away from my face, "I'm hungry, can I have some cheetos?"
Hilarious, Reegz!! Press on, Mommy!
I was going to share the "Aw done done nigh-night, I want num-nums" story but Joey beat me to it. When he's home to visit he still does it.....
I think I will quote Joey myself. "Pat, I want num-nums! Aw done nigh-night!" My husband will hop out of bed and make breakfast. GIT R DONE!
dangerous, Karli, dngerous. Five by what age?

Hey, that phrase is gonna cost 7 cents per usage!
