Hair Daze

I have needed a haircut for a long time. I made it in and asked for a TRIM. I quickly realized that hair stylists are not satisfied with trims. My stylist(or is it technician?) shampooed, spritzed, texturized, layered, snipped, blowdried, sprayed and scrunched. I ended up with a completely different hairstyle then I wanted. I did not get upset. I liked it. But the next morning I tried in vain to replicate the process and the style and I failed. I now have short hair with tons of layers and what to do?? I might have to hire someone.
