Treasure Hunt

My kids know when it's time for a treasure hunt. I hand them each a flashlight. They scurry downstairs and whip all of the cushions off of the couch. They seek. They find. They get so excited and I smile as I hear them shout, "Hey, I was lookin for this!" Most of the treasure is the usual.....marbles, Matchbox cars, bracelets, key chains, Legos, pens. The rest is lint, popcorn, and candy wrappers. I am glad it is a game to them because I am not doing it...it's yuck!! Soon they just might find the treasure that Pat and I seek. The battery covers to every remote control in the house. All of the batteries are now held in place with masking tape. Sarah gets her paws on those and tries in vain to put the batteries back when the tape gives out. After purchasing bling bling in batteries, I finally realized I just needed to flip them all to their correct spots and once again we have working remotes. I just hope the flashlights have working batteries when the hunt begins.
