Raggies
I suppose I should explain what a raggie is. When Joshua was teething at 2 months old (and every month after that in his first year) he liked to chew on his blankies in the crib. I indulged him in this which has resulted in him laying claim to every baby blanket in the house. When Sarah was teething I thought I might try something different so we didn't have to fight over blankies. I took a couple of cloth diapers and offered her those to chew on. They were affectionately called Love Rags and then shortened to Raggies. There have been times that we have left one or two at Noni's house and God help the parents who do that and try to survive the drive home! She is up to 3 raggies at this point and when they get too grunged I throw them away. I have now forbidden her to take them out of the house as we have had many caring, sensitive mommies at WalMart throw a gray "thing" in my direction after she has dropped it. I am not sure when I shall try to wean her off of this addiction but I must say it's pretty darn cute when she sucks her thumb and rubs her raggies over her nose at night.
