Listen Up

There are certain sounds to a Mommy in the trenches that are annoying! For instance, the sound of a vacuum sucking up Legos, dry cereal crunching underfoot, an open Tupperware container full of beads hitting the floor, pounding of any kind, all of the battery powered toys when they are losing juice. There are sounds that make a Mommy come running..the sound of glass shattering, water running furiously in a deserted bathroom, the bonk of a head against the floor, the hiss of a cat.(especially when you don't have a cat) There is a difference in the silence as well..when the kids are all tucked in vs. when you haven't heard a peep out of them for awhile. There are many happy sounds too! Laughter and giggles, loud kisses, a child saying his first word, Jesus Loves Me sung in a tiny voice. I thank you today Lord for Mommyhearing!
