Going up

I took my kids to a park a couple of weeks ago. The place was pretty much deserted. Joshua and Sarah did their favorite thing...they walked up the slide. I used to get after Joshua so much about it when he was "the only" Stream child, but then there were other kids trying to go down the slide!! I remember when he finally accomplished this feat. He was so very proud of himself. Jump-back-kiss-myself proud! Since then I have looked upon heading up a slide as a developmental skill, a mastering of what must seem impossible to a child. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm lazy!! If there are no other kiddos at the top of the slide I say GO FOR IT JOSH AND SARAH!
